Molecular Manufacturing

What is it?

Molecular manufacturing or MM technology is a new technology that will allow humans to build almost any object to atomic precision. This process will be cheap, quick, and no defects. Plus, the use of nanoparticles in construction will greatly increase the potential of a product such as a laptop computer (Citation 1).

How does it work?

The process of MM technology is achieved by the means of a molecular assembler. This is a small yet complex device that utilizes raw materials and nanoparticles to assemble literally anything that is programmed into it. Molecular assemblers work much like ribosomes, in that they recieve instructions from an outside source, then assemble sequences of amino acids or raw materials in the case of molecular assemblies, to construct molecules (Citation 2). For molecular assemblers, they construct carbon molecules that are assembled to make a certain structure.
